In the far future, long after humans have gone extinct, the forest took over and began to thrive.
Little gnomes controlled this land but eventually their society too, went through its troubling cycles. A once lush and vibrant forest eventually fell victim to a dark sickness that crept through the forest, hoping to destroy it - a black fog and enemy known as Boredom began sucking life from the forest.
Seeing his village poisoned by this dark fog, a single gnome wanted to make a name for himself left his home in search for an answer to defeat Boredom.
Growing up, this gnome was fascinated by tales of a supposed Red Castle on the edge of the forest and set out in this unfamiliar direction. As the gnome began harvesting forest materials on his journey, he found a purple mushroom unlike anything he had seen before. As the mushroom rapidly grew, it took the shape of an elephant and looked up at the gnome with curious eyes and eventually began walking alongside the gnome. Lost and confused, the elephant mushroom guided the gnome deeper into uncharted territory into the colored lands, each one offering their own lessons.
Red: Awareness
Yellow: Creativity
Orange: Willpower
Green: Love
Blue: Communication
Purple: Imagination
White: Unity
It was in this first red region, where the gnome and elephant discovered a red fighting species of shroomiez, who taught the explorers how to battle. They fought over colored gems that produced so much energy that Boredom could not reach this area of the forest, which seemed like the answer the gnome was searching for.
As the two explored deeper into the woods together, they discovered more species of shroomiez and different ways that they battled. Not every shroom species battled: only the red, yellow, blue and green ones seemed to be the most aggressive.
The non-fighting regions were just as valuable offering rare wisdom. The orange region taught the gnome to question everything and revealed secrets that he never disclosed.
Things changed at the purple region, the gnome sadly realized his forest guide was only an imaginary friend the whole time and as he approached the edge of the forest, the white region, he was unsure if he could continue alone. Thinking of his forest guide and his village that he missed, he was grateful for everything that he had learned on his journey and found the confidence to move forward.
In the castle, the gnome expected to face challenges but instead found a beautiful empty castle with a glowing beam of light shooting through it. Where the beam of light touched the ground, the gnome found a small, white glowing mushroom that reminded him of his forest guide. He picked the mushroom, who looked up at him with a smile and rapidly grow as his forest guide did. Whether it was real or not, the gnome felt that he had found the answer to his problem.
The two walked back to the gnome's village full of excitement and ideas on how to defeat boredom. When the gnome retuned, he explained of the power of the mushroom creatures, the ways they battle, and their colored gems that should be strong enough to defeat boredom.
His fellow gnomes are skeptical,
Can....YOU help show the gnomes how to defeat boredom?
Do YOU have any ideas for ways to battle?
Would YOU like to grow your own shroomand battle?
